Orthoceras is a fossil of a squid-like animal. Orthoceras lived 100 million years ago. Orthoceras, which means straight horn, is an extinct family member of the nautiloid that still exists in the world.
Goniatitecan be seen as the ancestor of the ammonite and can be compared to the modern squid. The Goniatite lived in large inland seas and mainly in the somewhat deeper parts of the sea.
